The North Suburban Figure Skating Club has a long History of both Individual and Club successes. If you would like to make a contribution to this section of the NSFSC Website, please submit your entry to any Club Officer.

NSFSC began life in Oak Park, Michigan on April 2nd, 1973 when it was incorporated as a member club of USFSA, and the club colors of Kelly Green and Navy Blue were chosen.

Several years later the club found a new home at John Lindell Ice arena in Royal Oak where it has remained ever since.

In 1990, NSFSC began its most challenging venture when the First annual Great Oaks Invitational Competition was initiated.

In the 1990 US Junior Nationals competition, former NSFSC pairs skater Susan Purdy and her partner Scott Chiamulera took the silver medal, and as an acknowledgement of her achievement Susan was awarded a NSFSC lifetime membership. Susan and Scott went on to compete at US Nationals and International events until their retirement from Pairs skating.
