The North Suburban Figure Skating Club

SKATING PROFESSIONALS

Coaches teaching on NSFSC ice must be approved by the Board and have a current club membership. All NSFSC coaches have a code of ethics to follow.

Lisa has been teaching for six years and is a member of the Professional Skaters Association.  A Regional Silver Medalist, Midwestern Competitor and Adult National Competitor.
Testing Qualification: Intermediate Freestyle, Senior Moves in the Field and Pre-Silver Dances.
Ratings: BA, Registered and Certified Sport Science and Medicine.

CARLY FUELLING

Carly is an accomplished Senior Level Freestyle and Moves in the Field skater.  She began skating for the North Suburban Figure Skating Club in 1993 and continues to skate for the club today.  Along with being a multiple Regional competitor, Carly skated and competed with a synchronized skating team for four years.  Carly has coached basic skills at numerous rinks for the past seven years and began coaching for the North Suburban Figure Skating Club during the 2005-2006 season.  She is also the coach for the Royal Oaks High School Figure Skating Team.

CRAIG JOERIGHT

Craig is an 11-time national competitor.  Craig is the 2000 U.S. National Senior Pair Bronze Medalist, 2004 U.S. National Senior Pair Pewter Medalist, 1998 U.S. National Junior Pair Bronze Medalist, and is a four-time Midwestern Senior Pair Champion.  Craig was a part of the U.S. International Team from 1998-2004.  He also has served on many U.S. Figure Skating Committees, including the Athletes Advisory Committee (AAC) and the Pair Committee.  Craig is currently the Bridge Program Director at North Suburban Figure Skating Club, and he coaches skaters ranging from beginner level to competitive, from children to adults.  Craig has his Gold freestyle, pair, and moves.  He has a degree in Psychology from Oakland University.

Larissa

LARISA SPEILBERG JOERIGHT

Larisa is a seven-time National Competitor.  She is a National Senior Pair Bronze and Pewter Medalist, and a National Junior Pair Bronze Medalist.  Larisa was a member of the U.S. Figure Skating International Team from 1998-2004.  She currently serves on many committees for the U.S. Figure Skating Association, including the Nominating Committee, the Athletes Advisory Committee, and the Pair Committee.  Larisa has passed her Senior Freestyle test, Senior Moves in the Field test, and Senior Pair test.  Larisa has a B.S. in Health Science from Oakland University.  She welcomes students who need coaching in freestyle, moves in the field, pairs, and choreography.

SERGUEI LIKHANSKI

Serguei began skating at the age of four in the Ukraine. He holds an International Master level in figure skating, which is equivalent to a Senior/International freestyle and pairs in the United States.  He was a member of the USSR National Figure Skating Team from 1981-1987.  He holds numerous international awards in skating.  Since 1992 he has taught pairs, freestyle, dance, moves in the field, basic skills and off ice classes at Detroit Skating Club, Berkley Arena and the North Suburban Figure Skating Club.  He teaches both children and adults.

 

REBECCA MAGEROVSKIY

Rebecca has been teaching for five years.  She was 9th in the U.S. Nationals in 2004.  She is an International competitor.  Rebecca is a Gold medalist in Moves in the field and Dance.  She is a Novice freestyle competitor.  She has been coaching at North Suburban Figure Skating Club for several years.

 

SERGEY MAGEROVSKIY

Sergey is a U.S. National Medalist, an International Competitor in Dance and a Junior Freestyle competitor.  He has been coaching for five years.  His highest level passed is Gold.  He has been coaching at North Suburban Figure Skating Club for several years.

JENNIFER MARTIN

Jennifer has been teaching at the North Suburban Figure Skating Club since the 2005-2006 season. She began skating with NSFSC at the age of seven and continues skating at the club today. Jennifer was a regional competitor having passed her Intermediate Freestyle and Senior Moves tests. She is a current Professional Skaters Association member and is working towards her B.S in Health Sciences with a concentration in Exercise Science at Oakland University. As well as coaching at NSFSC, Jennifer has been an instructor with the Royal Oak Basic Skills program since 2003. Jennifer welcomes any students interested in Freestyle, Moves in the field, and Choreography.

 

Oksana

OKSANA SENITSKAYA

Oksana began skating as a child in the Ukraine.  She earned a Master’s Degree in Physical Education and Figure Skating from the Institute of Physical Culture and Sport.  She coached figure skating for 15 years in the Ukraine before moving to the U.S. with her family in 1995.
Since then she has been a member of the professional staff at North Suburban Figure Skating Club, where she has taught students of all ages and levels.  She has coached many students from Basic Skills all the way through Senior Moves in the Field and Freestyle.  Along the way she has served as the primary coach for many high-level freestyle competitors at the regional level.
Oksana is fluent in Russian and English and holds an active Professional Skaters Association (PSA) Master Rating in Sport Science and Medicine.  Recently she received a PSA Registered Rating in Moves in the Field and Freestyle.  She plans to pursue additional ratings as she continues to make coaching a lifelong career.
